Talented 15 year old Junior player Patrick Daly from the Cue Club Killarney availed of his free Elite Squad training session on Wednesday the 2nd of January 2019 in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow. The session with PJ today was aimed at preparing him for the rest of the RIBSA season.
The Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association launched a RIBSA Junior Elite Squad for the 2017-2018 season for five talented young Irish Juniors, Ross Bulman from Youghal, Aaron Hill from Cork, Noel Gleeson from Nenagh, Ryan McGuirk from Meath and Patrick Daly from Killarney.
Each Elite Squad player received a RIBSA snooker scholarship to play in all RIBSA events free of charge for the 2017-2018 season plus each member received a free 4hr session with our RIBSA National Coach PJ Nolan in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow and Patrick received his session today.

PJ worked with Patrick on two important areas of his game, Technique and Scoring during his session. Patrick excelled in all areas of the program and his attitude was superb.
New Training Plan
Patrick’s Long Potting and Scoring was excellent on the day. Part of the session was also to help him improve the mental side of the game plus advice on Fitness and Relaxation on how to peak for events.
Patrick received a new specific Training plan and this booklet contains all his routines to fill in after each training session. This will be monitored by PJ and Patrick thanked PJ and RIBSA for his training session today.
New Elite Squad launching in 2019
RIBSA hope the five players in the 2017-2018 RIBSA Elite Squad learned a lot from being part of the squad and RIBSA hope to launch another Elite Squad for the 2019 -2020 Season. This will be aimed at developing another bunch of juniors to get the guidance to improve and reach the next level within their games.
