The Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association held another very successful Junior Snooker promotional and developmental day with our National Coach PJ Nolan on Saturday the 15th of June in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow.
All junior players were invited to attend the day and players from Waterford, Celbridge, Limerick, Leicester and Hungary attended with PJ and his team of RIBSA Qualified Coaches to learn some skills of the game.
One of the top European Juniors 12 year old Bulcsú Révész from Hungary is over training with PJ at present and he joined in to train with the players today. The cost to each player was €5.00 and they got advice about the Stance, Cue Action, Cue Ball Control and they played in some mini game’s tournaments.
Each of the players received booklets on how to improve their game and on the mental side of the game. RIBSA would like to thank all the clubs who encouraged as many of their young members to attend this promotion day.
PJ said” he was delighted with the turn out on the day and the quality of young talented boys on show. RIBSA have confirmed more developmental days will be held in the future”.
