Sarsfield wins Masters Ranking Event 1

Frank Sarsfield from St Johns SC in Limerick won the first RIBSA Masters Ranking event of the new season sponsored by Bonnar Engineering Letterkenny in Co Donegal on Sunday the 15th of September in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club, Carlow.

In the final which featured two St Johns SC teammates when Frank Sarsfield beat John Torpey 3 frames to 2 in a good quality final which was refereed by International Referee Shane Mason and live streamed via the ribsa web site.

In the Semi Finals today Mark Tuite played his club mate John Torpey and Frank Sarsfield played Dylan Rees. Both matches were excellent but it was John who beat Mark 3-1 and Frank beat Dylan 3-1 to set up an all Limerick Final.

The 2019 – 2020 RIBSA Master Snooker Ranking Series will feature 6 Ranking events and the National Snooker Championships this season.  These rankings will be used to select the master International players.

Please Note – Closing Dates

The closing date for all Masters Tournaments this coming season will be 1pm on the Saturday before the tournament. The Draw will be posted on the website as soon as possible.

Entry Fees

The cost of entry for Masters Tournaments will be €20.00 plus RIBSA registration of €15.00,Waistcoats must be worn for all matches. National Waistcoats are not permissible. Shane Mason will be the TD for the event.

Tournament Prize Fund 

Players are asked to note that the prize fund for tournaments in 2019/20 season will depend on number of entries less tournament expenses.

Prize fund and expenses will be announced on the day at each event. Expenses will include payment of Tournament Director, Referees and payment of €2 per player to host club.
