England beat Ireland in Goffs

Professional big time Snooker returned to Goffs in Ireland this week with the Legends Tour with England playing Ireland on the 29th & 30th of December.

The Atmosphere was electric with Team Ireland captained by Ken Doherty and he was joined by Fergal O Brien, Joe Swail and Dennis Taylor. They played against Team England who was captained by Jimmy White and on his team was Ali Carter, Steve Davis and ten time ladies world champion Reanne Evans.

The match was the first team to 18pts and throughout the entire match there was only a maximum of 2pts in it, until England won vital frames in the final session to help England retain their title 18pts to 14pts.

A big thank you to Jason Francis ‘’ Snooker legends ‘’ for sponsoring two tickets to RIBSA and thank you to Monique Limbos for incredible photos of the event. Anyone who attended this event I think they would have enjoyed the experience and let’s hope they will be more professional snooker back in Goffs very soon!!!

Well done Team Ireland and lets hope they get a re-match in 2015
