Our National Coach PJ Nolan held a two day RIBSA Summer Coaching Camp in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow on the 14th and 15th of June. All the players practiced various routines to improve their Cue Ball Control, Potting, Safety, Long Potting and Match-Play.
Each day training was held from 11am – 4pm. The players received lunch each day and a DVD to study at home as PJ feels this is crucial in helping them remember the key technial points from the camp.
PJ said he was delighted with the players commitment during the camp and with players aged as young as 9 years old to Master level players, there were all standards on show. The current Under 12 and Under 16 and Under 18 National Champions Noel Gleeson and Ross Bulman attended and were in excellent form before the up coming Celtic Challenge next weekend in Wales.
RIBSA would like to thank all the players who attended and to the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club for hosting the succesful summer camp.
