Our National Coach PJ Nolan held a RIBSA Summer Coaching Camp in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow on Friday the 22nd of July. All the players practiced various routines to improve their Cue Ball Control, Potting, Safety, Long Potting and Match-Play.
Training was held from 11am – 4pm. The players received lunch and a DVD to study at home as PJ feels this is crucial in helping them remember the key technial points from the camp.
PJ said he was delighted with the players commitment during the camp as players were aged from 10 years old to Master level. In attendance were some of our top juniors like the current Under 14 National Champion Aaron Hill and Shane Hourihane who will play in next months World U-18 Championship.
Our National Coach also welcomed back Grace Park to Ireland in her build up for the World U-18 Ladies Snooker Championship in Belgium next month. The 11 players in attendance were Tommy McCluskey, Declan Cundelan, Thomas O Brien, Ryan McGuirk, Ronan McGuirk, Aaron Smith, Gavin O Donnell, Clive Smith, Aaron Hill, Grace Park and Shane Hourihane.
