Tobin wins RIBSA Intermediate No.6

Aaron Tobin from the Crucible Snooker Club won the RIBSA Intermediate Ranking event number 6. On the day the ‘World Snooker Championships’ started in Sheffield, 36 cue-men descended into the Crucible on the North Side of Cork City for the ‘Republic of Ireland Billiards and Snooker Association’ (RIBSA) ‘Intermediate 6’ tournament.
Tobin in the end defeated his fellow club mate Aaron Hill by three frames to one in a final of high quality.

It was a great tournament that had a good entry with players from Kildare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Co Clare and the age group varied from 10 to 70. Tournament Director on the day was Connie O’Sullivan, assisted by Derek Kiely and the Referee on duty was Pat Mooney.

Connie O’Sullivan thanked the Hussey family in particular Jimmy Hussey for the use of the Crucible Snooker Club and he thanked all the players and the Referee on the day Pat Mooney who travelled all the way from Ennis in Co.Clare.
