Junior Home Internationals Day 2

The Republic of Ireland Under 21 and Under 16 Snooker Teams had a mixed day of results on Day 2 of the 2017 Junior Home Internationals Snooker Championships in the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds.

The Under 16 Team of Ross Bulman, Aaron Hill, Aaron Goldrick and Ryan McGuirk had a dramatic 6-6 draw with England B in the morning session. The boys then beat Belgium 12-0 in a superb performance in the evening session to remain unbeaten in the Championship.

Ross Bulman hold the current high break with 82 and Aaron Hill leads the player stats with 9 out of  9 frames.

The Under 21 team of Shane Bates, Noel Landers, Aaron Holland and Darragh Cusack had a great 7-5 victory over Belgium in the morning but the boys lost a very close match to England B 7 frames to 5 in the afternoon sesssion.

National Coach PJ Nolan said he was delighted with the effort and confidence shown by all the player which bodes well for their development as two of the Under 16’s and three of the 21’s are under age again for the next season.
