The Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association (RIBSA) have announced they will hold their first junior snooker promotional and developmental day of the season on Saturday the 28th of October in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow from 11am to 3pm.
Open to any U-21 player
Any junior player in Ireland are invited to attend the day with our Irish National Coach PJ Nolan and his team of RIBSA Qualified Coaches to learn some skills of the game. The players will learn about the Stance, Grip, Cue Action, Cue Ball Control and play in some mini games tournament.
All RIBSA Coaches
All current RIBSA Qualified Coaches are also invited to attend the day and the schedule of events is from 10.30am – 11am the players will sign in and warm up, Followed with the players training on some snooker routines.
The session will begin at 11am and finish at 3pm. RIBSA would like to ask all the clubs to encourage as many of their young members to attend this promotion day and help grow the game in Ireland.
PJ and the RIBSA coaches will give some tips and advice to the players. The players will then be shown by the new RIBSA Elite Squad how to control the cue ball on specific practice routines.
Two mini games tournament will be held with a re-spotted black tournament and a first red tournament being held. The cost to each player will be €5.00.
