Albert Kenny entered the intermediates competitions for the first time this year at Celbridge. The competition was the first he has entered in about 4 or 5 years. Albert is now using a snooker glove on his bridge hand for a smoother cue delivery. This seemed to work wonders as he won his prelim round match 3-0 in under forty minutes against G White including breaks of 56 & 73 .
Albert then won his first round match again 3-0 against Danny Kelly. Albert had a tough quarter final against T. McKeown but came through 3-1. Albert's toughest match was against Phil Browne but managed to win 3-2.
He met Wayne Doyle in the Final, and after losing the first frame he managed to win 3 in a row and claim Intermediate ranking event three in the East region.
