Rodney Goggins from the 147 SC Wexford won the RIBSA Classic and the first ranking event of the new season in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow over the weekend.
In the final he beat John Sutton from Celbridge SC 5 frames to 3 in an exciting final.
John Sutton beat Vincent Muldoon 4 frames to 2 and Rodney beat Colm Gilcreest 4 frames to 3 in the Semi Finals.
The Highest break prize went to TJ Dowling from Celbridge SC with a superb 122 Break
