Greg Casey defeated Vincent Muldoon by three frames to nil in the final of the second Under-21 Ranking Event of the season in Ballina today. The cork youngster probably had the furthest to travel to the event and in minus ten temperatures it was one of the coldest days of the year .
However with the snow settling outside the Under-21 series certainly heated up inside as Greg notched up good wins over Ryan Cronin and Jason Devaney to reach the final.
The final saw his up against No.1 seed Vincent Muldoon but it was to be Greg's day and he ran out a 3-0 winner against the ex-main tour player. Jason Devaney posted the high break for the day with a superb 81 break.
