National Champion Karl Fitzpatrick played superb snooker in beating Louis Chand from New Zealand four frames to one to win his first match in China at the World Under 21 Snooker Championship which is being held in the city of Wuxi in the Republic Of China from the 14th – 22nd Of July.
The Carlow man is now hoping to win his final two matches against Huang Jiahao from China and Adam Stefanow from Poland to finish the event in style.
Team Coach PJ Nolan said that Karl has been a bit unlucky in a few matches but winning a good match today has brought back come confidence for his final two matches.
