LETTER FROM RIBSA CHAIRMAN & NOTICE OF THE 2017 AGM
This year’s Republic Of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association AGM will commence at 1:30pm on Saturday 6th of May in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club Carlow.
I urge all players, parents, coaches, referees, officials and interested parties that love the games of Billiards and snooker to make every effort to attend.
I know there are a lot of members and supporters of our association that have new ideas, fresh thoughts and the enthusiasm to carry through with any changes that they feel are necessary. Why not put YOUR name forward for the committee?
We all know that committees are there to be blamed for every little thing that goes wrong even though they give up their time and efforts with virtually no remuneration.
RIBSA need a committee that is dedicated and hard working and can put more time into any new ideas that are proposed for the benefit of all members.
So don't sit on the sidelines and complain, get your voices heard by getting yourself proposed and seconded onto the committee and let’s make this association stronger than it has ever been and the envy of the World.
The 2017 Junior Home Internationals will be held in the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds from the 14th - 17th of August. Shane Bates, Stephen Bateman, Noel Landers and Aaron Holland have qualified for the RIBSA Under 21 Home Internationals Team.
Congratulations to Ross Bulman, Aaron Hill, Aaron Goldrick and Ryan McGuirk on qualifying for the RIBSA Under 16 Home Internationals Team.

by the 14th of May or the next player on rankings will receive their place.
The 2017 Celtic Challenge will be held in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow on the 24th of June. The best Under 14 and Under 16 players from the Republic Of Ireland and Wales will battle it out for the title. For the first time 7 players will play in the event and it promises to be an exciting event with Ireland being the defending champions.
Six places on the RIBSA Under 14 are now confirmed. The last remaining place is between Ronan McGuirk and Ryan Banum. Ryan Banum must beat Ryan McGuirk in the RIBSA National U-14 Final next month to book his place, otherwise Ronan McGuirk takes the last spot on the team.
