Sherwin Wins Ladies Ranking Event 7



Sandra Bryan was in flying form against Michelle french in their opening round match, never really letting Michelle settle and she won this match with ease by 3-0. sandra then came up against michelle sherwin and had a great opportunity when 2-0 down to pull aframe back, but she unluckilly went in off the brown, and Michelle cleared the colours to win the frame and match.

Practice partners Treasa keegan and Catherine Fitzsimons were in the other semi final, and it looked like being a great tussle at the start of the match with Catherine managing to take the 1st frame on the black after a very close knit frame. After the frame Treasa seemed to get the bit between her teeth and started playing some of the best snooker ofher life. Her determnation seen her rattle of the next 3 frames despite fierce resistance from catherine, to win the match 3-1.

This was the 5th final this season between these 2, and Treasa continued on her great form from the previous match and gave Michelle the best match yet.

The frames were close but Michelle won the match 3-0 in the end to continue her unbeaten run.

The Ladies would like to congratulate Michelle and Treasa on their semi final spot at the european team championships, and also to congratulate Michelle on winning the European 6 reds champioship in Malta.

There will be a 6 red tournament in Celbridge on Sunday 16th May at 12pm.
