Bates wins Intermediate Event 3

Shane Bates from Liam Mellows SC in Wexford won the third RIBSA Intermediate Ranking event in the Hot Shots Snooker Club in Galway on 1st of February.

In the final the former Under 21 National Champion beat Number 1 seed George O Hara 3 frames to 1 in a great final.

The Wexford man denied the Dubliner a 3 in a row of titles after George had won the previous two events. In fact, Shane had to beat the number 1 and 2 seeds to lift the title.  He also capped off the fantastic day winning the high break with a superb 96 break.
