The Republic Of Ireland Snooker Association held a Coaching Ireland Intro level Coaching course in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow on Saturday 22nd February.

Our National Coach PJ Nolan gave the one day seminar covering the approved syllabus approved by Coaching Ireland who govern all coaching in Ireland through the Irish Sports Council. RIBSA have now have 69 coaches whom have attended a course and have official Intro level certification from Coaching Ireland.

The four now go away to attend a 4hr basic awareness course in their local area and have Garda Vetting before being presented with their Coaching Certificate.

Ex National Junior Champion Stephen Reddington who will be based in the Darcy McGees Spawell SC in Dublin said ” he was very impressed with the course and how to coach players. PJ was excellent with his knowledge and it is great for Irish snooker to have a highly respected Coach working full time in Ireland. The CD with all the course information we brought home will be a great resource to help us in the future ”

If you would like to attend the next course you must download the application form from the web site and post it to RIBSA. As soon as RIBSA have six completed forms we will apply to Coaching Ireland for approval and a date to hold the next course.
