RIBSA would like to congratulate Ireland’s Aaron Hill and Ross Bulman on being invited into the qualifying rounds of the 2020 BetFred World Professional Snooker Championships where all 128 players will battle for one of 16 coveted spots for the Crucible Theatre.
The qualifying event will run from July 21 to 28 at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.
The 16 winners then go through to the Crucible to meet the top 16 seeds, for the main event which runs from July 31 to August 16. Aaron and Ross will be joined by Ken Doherty and Fergal O Brien in the event.
RIBSA wishes all four players good luck in flying the Irish Flag in Sheffield.
Aaron plays Chen Fellong from China and Ross plays Rod Lawler from England
In a new qualifying format, players seeded 81-144 contest the opening round. In round two, those 32 winners will face players seeded 49-80. In round three, those 32 winners will face players seeded 17-48.
In round four, those 32 winners play each other, with the 16 winners going through to the Crucible.
