Final – best of 5 frames
David Morris Vs Noel Landers 4 – 3
In the final Morris started off frame 1 with a 44 to build up a good lead, back came Landers to lead 56-49 with one red remaining and Noel went on to win it and he also won frame 2 to go two nil up. A 50 break from the current U-21 Number 1 Noel Landers put him 3-0 and one frame away from his first senior title.
In frame 4 again Morris got in first and made a fantastic clearance of 138 to close the gap to 1-3. In frame 5 the Kilkenny man again played superb with a 66 break to only go one behind a 2-3. In frame 6 a 52 break by Morris put him in front but a missed brown into the middle cost noel a chance of stealing it so it went to a deciding frame for the title.
In a tense frame 7 the current National Senior Champion and former Pro made a early 36 break and controlled it to win the title and achieve an incredible comeback from 0-3 down to win.
Well done Davy and unlucky Noel.
