Fermoy CYMS Coaching Zone with PJ

On Monday 15th of December, Fermoy (CYMS) Catholic Young Mens Society in county Cork held a 2 hour PJ Nolan Snooker Coaching Zone to help their club juniors develop their game with our RIBSA National Coach. PJ was very impressed with the new modern look of the Club and the three new Shender International level match tables plus the number of talented young players who attended.

Kevin Hegarty, Jack Dorgan, Liam Hayes, Cathal Hayes, Liam Dorgan, Simon Walsh, James Derinshire, Declan Healy, Ciarn O Grady and Julie Ann Woods attended the training and PJ worked on developing their cue action, stance, aiming and cue ball control plus outlining training routines he wants the players to practice over the next few weeks.

David Joyce who is Chairman of the Cork Snooker Association said that all the Fermoy players enjoyed the coaching and learnt alot on the night to help them improve more.

PJ worked on developing a solid playing technique in their stance, cue action and address position using his academy laser and the 360 cue worked on helping them achieve a smoother delivery in their cue actions.

The clubs runs coaching sessions every sunday in the club and the players practiced hard and listened to the advice and the club hopes now that the players will practice what was done during the coaching zone.

Daithi Whelan Chairman of the Fermoy CYMS siad that he was delighted to see PJ in the club teaching the juniors as the club are fully focused on developing the juniors in the town.

If any RIBSA registered club would like to book PJ in their club they should email PJ on for his next available date.

The cost of holding a coaching session is €20.00 per hour travel time from Carlow plus €20.00 per hour coaching fee ( Min 2 hrs ). All tolls and parking fees must also be paid if needed.
