Five More RIBSA Coaches Qualify

The second Intro level Coaching Ireland / RIBSA coaching course of the season was held in the Ivy Rooms SC in Carlow on Saturday the 12th of November. The Intro Level training courses are designed for RIBSA members who are interested in becoming new coaches.

The course covered all the basics in coaching players and helping them identify what is needed to start training snooker and billiards players.

This Course RIBSA qualified James Corbett from Galway, Fred Dinsmore from Dublin, Murt Rossiter and Sandra Bryan from Gorey in Co. Wexford and Brendan O’Donoghue from Nenagh.

The Course is a one day course given by PJ Nolan (Role Of Coaches + Playing Techniques ) and Neil Shanahan ( Rules of the Game ) The course starts at 10am and runs until 1pm. Lunch is from 1pm-2pm and Restart at 2pm until 5pm.

The cost is €25.00 including soup and sandwich.

All the new coaches must be paid up members of the Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association for the 2011 / 2012 season. At present RIBSA have 55 Intro Level qualified coaches which are approved by Coaching Ireland who are based in Limerick University.

We also have ten new Level 1 snooker coach awaiting certification and to attend the next Level one you must first attend the Intro level course.
