2017 Irish Senior Championships S-Final

The Semi Finals of the Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association Senior Snooker Championships were held in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow tonight.

Brendan O Donoghue played Tom O Driscoll and it was Tom who led 3-1 at the interval but Brenadan fought back to level at 3-3, then Brendan 4-3 up only to see Tom level the match again at 4-4. Brendan then went 5-4 up only to see Tom level again at 5-5. In the decider Brendan got in first and controlled the frame to win 6 frames to 5.

In the other semi-final Rodney Goggins beat Philip O Connor 6 frames to nil in a stunning display of snooker which included a top break of 95.

The 2017 final of Brendan O Donoghue and Rodney Goggins promises to be a superb match and if you can not be in the Ivy Rooms SC in Carlow at 10.30am and 2.30pm then you can watch it live on www.ribsa.ie

2017 RIBSA Finals Weekend

The RIBSA Senior, Masters, Intermediate, Junior Snooker & Billiard National Championships National finals are also being played on the 6th – 7th of May during RIBSA Championships finals weekend in the Ivy Rooms SC.



This year the guaranteed prize fund is €3, 500.00

The Champion – €1,000

Runner up – €500.00

Semi Finalists – €250.00each

Q- Finalists – €150 each

Last 16 – €100 each

Highest Break €100
