Play in the Qualification Rounds is well under way here in Killarney. Play began at 9.30am and so far there have been some very predictable results, with a lot of the travelling amateurs from the UK making their way through to the second session this evening here at the Killarney Convention Centre.

One major victory came the way of Newbridge teen star Josh Boileau who defeated two time World Championship quarter Finalist Patrick Wallace.

The 16 year old showed tremendous temperament to win out comfortable in the 7th and deciding frame.

Corks Crucible player Ryan Cronin was impressive in his four frame to two frame victory over Kerry’s John Friel and is also just one match away from the first round of the Main Event, which starts here at the Gleneagle Hotel at 9.30am tomorrow morning.

PTC currently ranked number one, Ronnie O’Sullivan will be in action tomorrow afternoon at 1pm and all the Worlds top professionals are now starting to arrive at Cork, Kerry and Dublin airports and those who haven’t arrived yet are en-rout to Kerry.

The main arena is now ready for play and the other nine tables are in full swing.

For the latest results you can check out simply go to the Results Option and click results. From tomorrow onwards there will be live scoring on the World Snooker website.
