The final RIBSA Intermediate ranking events of the season will be played this weekend in Fairview SC, Ivy Rooms SC, Northwest SC and the Victoria SC and all the players eyes will be switching to next month’s Intermediate team championship.
The top 5 players available on each region rankings after the last event will qualify to represent their region in the 2012 RIBSA Intermediate Team Championship on Saturday 31st March in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow.
Players should confirm to their regional tournament director this weekend if they are available to play in next month’s Team Championship.
The Team Championship will be played in a round robin format with all the regions playing against each other. The number 1 on each ranking will be nominated as captain and he will submit the team for each match.
€20.00 per player is the entry fee = €100.00 per team and the Session Times will be 10am, 12 Noon, 2.00pm and 4.30pm.
All matches will feature each player playing a best of 5 frame match and it is the first team to win on three tables that will win the overall match.
The competition qualifying format will consist of Matches Won, Frames Won and in case of a tie both captains will play a one frame shoot out to find a winner.
The top two teams will qualify for the final at 4.30pm and the Draw and schedule will be made by the RIBSA committee on Saturday the 3rd of March.

12 Noon: 1v 3 & 2v 4
2.00pm: 1v 4 & 2 v 3
