Boileau beats Cronin in Last 32

Josh Boileau from Newbridge CYMS beat Ryan Cronin from Crucible SC Cork four frames to three in a superb match in the last 32 of the 2012 European Under 21 Snooker Championship here in Sofia Bulgaria tonight.

Ryan was seeded No.14 after the groups and qualified straight into the last 32 round and Josh had earlier beaten Villus Schuite from Lithuania 3 frames to nil to reach the last 32 to play Ryan.

Boileau started great with breaks of 68 and 45 to lead two nil, back came the current No.1 Irish with breaks of 81 and 46 to level at 2-2. Josh won a close fifth frame before potting a long green, brown, blue and pink in the sixth frame for victory.

Both players played great snooker and Ryan wishes Josh good luck in the last 16 tomorrow at 8am Irish Time against Mateusz Baranowski from Poland who beat Shachar Ruberg from Israel 3-0 and Number 3 seed Ellot Slessor from England 4-3 to reach the last 16.
