Judge to face O’Donoghue in final

The Final of the second RIBSA ranking event of the season will be between Michael Judge from Dublin and Brendan O Donoghue from Nenagh after both semi finals lived up to high expectation in the Northwest Snooker Club this morning with two superb matches with Michael Judge overcoming a spirit challenge from the reigning Irish under 19 national champion Josh Boileau in winning 4 frames to nil in a high quality match.

Brendan O Donoghue played great match snooker in warming up for the upcoming IBSF World Championship when he beat the 2011 National Senior Champion Jason Devaney winning 4 frames to 2 in another high quality match.

The final promises to be a high scoring match with two fantastic players playing their best snooker and it is a match not to be missed.

As national coach I would like to wish both finalists good luck in the final and to congratulate Josh and Jason for great performances again in event two and it will not be long until they lift senior titles. It goes well for the future of the game in Ireland to see two under 21 players reaching senior semi finals and I hope it gives all the other players motivation to win in the future.
