RIBSA Confirm IBSF Qatar Players

The Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association have just announced the players and officials that will travel to the 2017 IBSF World Snooker championship in Qatar from 17th November till 27th November. The 2017 event will be played at Al-Arabi Sports Club, Doha, Qatar.

In the Men’s event Brendan O Donoghue, Ross Bulman and Karl Fitzpatrick will compete while John Farrell, Brian McPhee and Anthony Bonnar will compete in the Masters Championships.  Pat Mooney has been selected to Referee and he will be joined by Jim Leacy who is the IBSF Vice President in Qatar.


  • World IBSF Billiards – Qatar

The 2017 IBSF World Billiards Championship 150up & Long Up formats will be held in Qatar Billiards & Snooker Federation in Doha, Qatar from 9th – 15th November 2017.  Aidan Murray from Wicklow will represent the Republic Of Ireland in this Championship and RIBSA wish Aidan good luck in Qatar.

  • RIBSA Training Day for the players with PJ

RIBSA will hold an IBSF training day with our National Coach PJ Nolan on Sunday the 29th of October in the Ivy Rooms from 11am – 4pm where PJ will guide the players on how to prepare for the championships with key Break building, Safety and Long potting routines.
